The Gujarat State Eligibility Test (GSET) Agency, The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, Vadodara is a Nodal Agency recognized by the UGC, New Delhi for conducting the Gujarat State Eligibility Test (GSET) for Lectureship / Assistant Professor since 2002.

Strictly adhering to the guidelines stipulated by the UGC-NET Bureau, Gujarat SET Agency , The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda is conducting State Eligibility Test to make rigorous merit based selection for the entry level of teaching profession. Currently GSET is conducting test in Thirty Three (33) subjects at Eleven (11) Examination Centers spread across the Gujarat State.

The Notification, model / previous question papers, syllabus, information regarding online submission of application, examination details, instruction to candidates, seating arrangements, key answers and results are all made available through our website: http://www.gujaratset.ac.in. Candidates who qualify the GSET will be governed by the rules and regulations for recruitment of Lecturers / Assistant Professors of the concerned University / Colleges / Institutions (Government / Aided / Private) in Gujarat State only. The Certificate issued for the GSET eligible candidate from this office will have lifetime validity.

  • The E-Certificate of GSET 2023 is declared and will be available for download after after upload and verification of required documents.
  • All those candidates who are appearing at master degree, will be able to download the certificate after they upload and verification(by GSET) of their final year / semester marksheet.
  • Document verification by GSET will be done within 28 working days after document uploaded.

Candidates should note that Any Certificate / Document should not be sent to Gujarat SET office, Vadodara on qualifying GSET Examination..

The provisional answer key for 17th Gujarat State Eligibility Test conducted on 26th November 2023 was placed on website to receive responses from candidates from 28.11.2023 to 12.12.2023. To review the responses towards provisional answer key received from the candidates, the responses have been carefully scrutinized by the subject experts. Based on their recommendations, the final answer key has been prepared. GSET Agency's decision on the answer key is final and the result is declared on the basis of final answer keys and No Grievances with regards to answer key(s) will be entertained after declaration of Result.
